FAQs

Here are some of my most asked questions, if yours is not here feel free to email me at sarah@seconsulting.uk

Why are there no prices on your site?

I am also that person who doesn't like to enter into something without knowing the price, so I get you.

However, what I offer is bespoke to the individual, session length, frequency etc so rather than having prices it's better for us to have a chat about your needs and circumstances. Payment plans are available to help spread the cost.

I keep my pricing in line with other coaches in the UK. I regularly research the market to ensure I stay competitive.

Is coaching right for me?

Coaching is a confidential safe space for you to explore whatever you need without judgement. I'll offer observations, fresh perspectives and a range of coaching tools with an ultimate aim of helping you to move towards where you want to be.

It can be particularly helpful for people who are:

  • Ready for change

  • Open to feedback and fresh perspectives

  • Serious about their personal development

  • Willing to discus things that may feel challenging or uncomfortable

  • Able to dedicate time to implement the changes we discuss in sessions

If you are unsure or want to discus any of the above it's best to book a free call with me to find out more.

3

How is coaching different to therapy?

Both coaching and therapy are valuable tools for self discovery. Coaching focuses primarily on the now and future, whereas therapy can spend time going back into the past.

You know you best, so I will be guided by you, however if I feel therapy may be more appropriate I will offer this as a suggestion. This is why having an initial chat to understand what you are wanting to achieve from coaching is vital to us working together.

4

How long will we work together?

This is totally up to you, I would recommend no less that 3 sessions as it's the ongoing work and relationship we build in a safe supportive space where the magic happens.

Most of my clients find between 6 and 12 sessions is the sweet spot, we typically meet fortnightly, giving you time to embed your new insight into daily life. Some clients prefer a more intense block of sessions, others may prefer monthly check-ins. It's totally up to you.

5

What happens in a typical coaching session?

Typically my sessions a 60 minutes, taking place virtually via google meets, and tailored specifically to your needs. We will generally cover these points:

  • Checking in on how you are

  • Exploring what is bringing you to coaching today

  • Evoking awareness through powerful questions that spark new insight and lightbulb moments for you

  • Identifying ways forward and addressing any barriers

My aim is to be your critical friend and thought partner, offering my observations and tools to help you along your way.

I am grounded in neuroscience, positive psychology, psychodynamics, personality profiling and leadership development. All of which I will bring into our session where relevant, but always with your permission.
